Next Steps
In addition to the 1779 Declaration and Witness Testimonies, for active participation in The California Assembly the following steps must also be taken. These documents may be recorded and/or published with your 1779 Documents or separately. If published separately, an additional $25 publishing order must be purchased.
Declaration of Political Status
The Declaration of Political Status Document requires a raised embossed seal, which your Recorder will provide.
Your Recorder will also witness your autograph and record/publish the document.
Send a copy of the Declaration of Political Status Document and cover letter via Registered Mail, (green card return receipt requested) to the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
(Keep the original document for your records)

Declaration of Political Status Template
Send a copy of the Declaration of Political Status to the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, (if you were born or naturalized in the US), using the following cover letter:

You may use your red thumbprint on the cover letter if you wish. You can then have the Declaration and cover letter recorded and published by your Recording Secretary.
You may obtain a numbered registered mail sticker ahead of time from the post office, in order to include that on your letter.
Write the registered mail number on the cover letter.
Complete filling out the return receipt green card and registered mail paperwork before returning to the post office for mailing.
Important:
Do Not apply the registered mail sticker to the envelope. The post office will do this.
Do Not Staple the cover letter to the Declaration, which would void the document.
Important Note: Green card holders or undocumented immigrants should not use The Declaration of Political Status document.
If you are employed by the Federal or State government
you also should not use this document.
Make and keep a copy of all documents and the mailing receipts. Take a photo of the envelope, after stamping and processing, before mailing, for your records.
When the green card is returned, include this with your records.
Keeping all copies in a notebook with plastic pages is recommended.

Revocation of Election to Pay Taxes
The following two letters are sent, via registered mail w/ green card return receipt requested, to the Commissioner of both the IRS and the Internal Revenue Service informing him that you revoke your election to pay federal income taxes beginning with October 1 of last year or up to 10 years prior.
Commissioner Rettig currently holds both positions.
Obtain a numbered registered mail sticker ahead of time from the post office, in order to include that number on your letter.
Write the registered mail number on the letter. Fill out the green card and registered mail paperwork before returning to the post office for mailing.
Important: Do Not apply the registered mail sticker to the envelope. The post office will do this.
You may use your red thumbprint on the letter if you wish.

Contact your State or County Voter Registration Office and request that your name be removed from the voter records.
Ask them to send you a form for this purpose.
Keep a color copy of any documents you autograph/mail.
Always send via registered mail, green card return receipt requested.
You may also complete the revocation at your local County Voter Registrar's office. Ask for a copy of the form you sign for your records.

Baby Deed
A Baby Deed may be recorded/published for sons or daughters of any age by mother/father or grandmother/grandfather.
A baby deed is a rebuttal to the birth certificate, but is only needed if a birth certificate was issued.

Baby Deeds must be in red. Obtain a registered mail sticker from the post office.
The registered mail number on the sticker will be used on the document (and the sticker itself will be used later for mailing).
Note: Do Not put the sticker itself on the Baby Deed. The post office will apply the sticker to the envelope at the time of mailing.
This account allows each son or daughter to also create their own credential card. At this time a red thumb print and passport style photo must also be uploaded for each boy or girl.
Please check with your Recording Secretary for LRO publishing instructions.
After recording with either your Assembly Recording Secretary or a Notary Public, mail a color copy of the Baby Deed to the Secretary of State for their birth state.
